The Law Offices of Michael M. Mulder brought a group of putative class actions under Illinois law that resulted in a victory for low-income homeowners in the Illinois Appellate Court in US Bank National Association v. Clark, 807 N.E.2d 1109 (1st Dist. 2004) (later reversed by the Illinois Supreme Court). After that decision, the firm was entrusted to work with the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago on additional remedies for low-income homeowners who lost their properties through the fraudulent conduct of others, including banks, tax buyers and would-be "rescue" schemes.
